FAQs about the T4M Club

Q.  How often are events held?

A.  We host one larger event for all members of the club each month. The event usually depends on the season although coffee mornings and tea parties are always popular events. There is always something happening within the club as members often meet outside of scheduled events.

Q.  I work shift work so I can't always attend activities. Can I meet members outside of the assigned events?

A.  Absolutely.  We encourage members to connect  outside of events and continue to develop friendships that have been recently formed.  We are happy to help with this process if you are a little shy and introduce you to others who share your interests and values.

Q.  How much are membership dues?

A. Our membership dues are $50 per year.

Q. What does my fee cover?

A. Your membership fee helps contribute to our web site maintenance, administrative and advertising costs.  It also helps cover some of the other goodies and fun stuff like prizes and cakes that we provide at special activities.

Q.  If this is a non profit program why is there any fee at all?

A.  While the T4M Club is a not for profit program, it still costs a substantial amount of money to run a community program of this nature. We feel that our membership fee
(approx. $4 per month) is a modest amount that everyone can afford. .  Member contributions allow us to continue to expand and help others in the community who need it most.

Q.  What is the age group?

A.  We cater to women of all ages.  Our most popular age is between 28-65.

Q.  What type of women fit in best with the group?

A.  The women that fit in best in our group are friendly, positive, willing to try new things, responsible, fun, and caring.  Our members are women who want to add joy and balance to their lives and value good quality relationships.  They are women who understand that true friendship sees no age or color or geographical location.  We are made up of women from all walks of life.  From single moms to senior executives.  Teachers, nurses, accountants, cleaners, nannies, business owners...the occupations are as varied as the women themselves.

Q.  Can I attend an event to see if I like the people before I pay my membership fee?

A. What pressure!  : )  Quite simply the answer to this question is no.  It has been our experience that if this group is the right for you, chances are you will already have a good idea that you want to take the next step and talk to us on the phone.  Members choose to come out to events that fit in with their schedules and life choices.  It would be impossible to meet every member of the organization at one event and feel that it wouldn't necessarily give an accurate gauge of the magnitude of who we are and what we do.

We already spend countless hours working with enquiries and new members coming into the group.  We simply do not have the resources at this stage to handle spectator members.  The second reason is that of legalities.  All  members attending any program or using the members area on-line must agree to abide by our terms of service. Many of our events are held within members' homes which are not covered liability wise for non-members of the club. If you still are not sure whether this group is for you after talking with us on the phone, or reading the testimonials from other members, then we would suggest exploring a few other groups around town that may suit your needs better.

Q.  I don't have a baby sitter.  Can I bring my children to events?

A.  The T4M Club was designed to help women take time out from their busy schedules and to take a break from the 'mommy' role. Children are not permitted to attend events outside of those which have been specifically designed for children and families. We do however have many T4M members with children who get together on a regular basis for picnics or child-happy outings. As organizers we do not want to risk children getting injured at an official T4M event where we cannot ensure that the location is child-proofed.

Q.  I'm in a great MLM  business.  (Mary Kay, Am way, etc) Can I share information on my products with other members of the group?

A.  We get approached multiple times each month from women who have something which they would like to promote to members of the club.

While we love to support women in business and understand that some of these companies offer great products, we simply had to draw the line on the 'party plans' !  If you are thinking of joining this group for the sole purpose of networking or to find customers, please don't.

Our women want to meet women who are genuinely here for friendship and fun.  In saying that, we would not like to exclude you if you are seeking friendship and you're a business owner. We do have another program that has been specifically designed to bring women who want to network together for the purpose of sharing resources, support and forming strategic alliances. Common sense is the order of the day. This club has been designed with ease in mind.  Use your own inner compass.  If you are here for the right reasons, you will be welcomed with open arms.
